My Internship Experience

I completed my Student Teaching in the Spring of 2015 at Prairie View Elementary in Post Falls, Idaho. More than 450 students in grades one through five attend school here. I collaborated with colleagues, the principal and parents to create the best possible learning environment for all students. This experience challenged me and excited me all in one!

My mentor teacher, Maureen Hutchison supported me and encouraged me through my time in her classroom. Maureen taught me so much about classroom management and differentiated instruction. This internship showed me just how much passion I have for helping students become the best version of themselves and to be able to successfully thrive in todays society.

My kiddos at Prairie View Elementary will forever hold a special place in my hear. Every child I've had the pleasure of coming into contact with has taught me something new and has helped me to become a better teacher!
